Pittsburgh – Dollar Bank, Pittsburgh’s hometown mutual bank, will serve as a sponsor and presenter for the upcoming Pittsburgh Business Show, a two-day B2B expo that will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on April 19-20, 2017.

The Pittsburgh Business Show invites start-up businesses, established organizations, and Fortune 500 companies to connect with others to learn how to achieve their goals, increase their revenue, and connect with people and resources that will jump-start their businesses. The two-day event is free to the public.

For more than 160 years, Dollar Bank has grown to become a large, full-service, regional bank that provides banking services to individuals and businesses. Since 1994, they have been recognized as a leader in community reinvestment and economic development. Federal government regulators have consistently ranked Dollar Bank “Best in Class” in the area of community reinvestment. Whether their staff works with individuals, small businesses, corporations or non-profit groups, every relationship is approached as neighbor to neighbor.

Dollar Bank’s presenters for the Pittsburgh Business Show are Dave Weber, Vice President of Business Banking, and Steve McMahon, Loan Center Manager. They will speak on Thursday, April 20, at 9 a.m. on the Main Stage of the Convention Center. Free tickets to their presentation are available here.

Mr. Weber’s workshop is entitled “The Bankability Factor” and will give insight into what banks examine when they make lending decisions regarding small business loans. He will take a closer look at how business cash flow is calculated, appropriate types of collateral, and how a personal credit report plays a role in decision making.

Mr. McMahon’s workshop is entitled “How Offering Financing Can Help Grow Your Company” and discusses how Dollar Bank’s Preferred Referral Program has helped home improvement and health care-related companies grow their business and achieve increased sales. Companies enrolled in the program can take advantage of benefits including priority processing for their customers, a low introductory rate credit card, and access to Dollar Bank marketing materials.

“We are thrilled that Dollar Bank is joining the Pittsburgh Business Show as a sponsor and will also be presenting a workshop for attendees. Dollar Bank has supported individuals, families, small businesses, and corporate entities in and around the Pittsburgh area since 1855, and they are dedicated to communities and neighborhoods where Pittsburghers live and work. It’s one of the many reasons why they are the region’s preferred community bank,” said Linda Jo Thornberg, President of the Pittsburgh Business Show.
